At the heart of the Denon PMA-900HNE lies a powerful, high current amplifier. Delivering 50 watts per channel (85 watts per channel into a 4 ohm speaker), the Denon has the grunt to sustain high volumes in larger rooms. More than this, its high current design means that, even at low volumes, you get well-balanced sound with a full-bodied bass response. For even more bass, there’s a dedicated subwoofer output that’s ready to connect to your choice of active sub.
Low distortion
Despite having the punch to party, this Denon amp knows a thing or two about refinement, too. For the lowest distortion, Denon use an anti-vibration chassis with rigid steel plate supporting the power transformer. Reducing vibrations means subtle nuances in the music are clearer than ever. Discrete power amp construction prevents electrical and mechanical noise from the power transformer interfering with the other electronics.
The complete networking experience
With both Bluetooth and AirPlay 2 connectivity it's easy to connect all your smartphones, tablets and compatible lap/desktops and stream music wirelessly. The Denon also comes with wi-fi, Internet radio and DLNA. Simply connect to your home network via Ethernet or wi-fi and access thousands of Internet radio sites via TuneIn as well as subscription services such as Spotify Connect (Premium Spotify account required) and TIDAL.
Voice control via Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri devices
Denon have designed the PMA-900HNE to be compatible with all the main voice assistants, including Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri devices. Simply download the HEOS Home Entertainment Skill app and then just ask Alexa or the Google Assistant to perform basic functions. Using the Apple Home App, Siri voice control from your Apple iOS device brings added functionality over AirPlay 2 – including grouping devices.
HEOS built-in - for the finest streaming multi-room audio
HEOS multi-room music systems connect together by dual-band Wi-Fi, making them easy to set up with your existing home network. Up to 32 HEOS units can be set up at one time, ensuring even the largest of homes are covered for multi-room music. With HEOS already built-in, the PMA-900HNE is ready to go as a single 'zone' without any further adaptors.
Control it all with the HEOS app
For easy access to all your music from one app, you can stream effortlessly via the dedicated HEOS app. Available for Apple iOS, Android and Amazon Kindle, the app not only lets you stream your stored music but also Internet radio services and links with popular streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal, Napster and Deezer.
Connect your turntable
In contrast to digital streaming, you can connect a turntable to the Denon. Compatible with both Moving Magnet and Moving Coil cartridges, the PMA900HNE works with all types of record decks. The simple design uses short signal paths for reduced signal loss, maximising the information pulled from your vinyl.
Connects to all your digital sources – including USB
As well as all that streaming versatility, the PMA-900HNE also connects up with your other digital sources. Featuring three optical and one coaxial digital inputs, you can connect your TV, Blu-ray player, games console and CD player. There’s also a USB interface that’s perfect for connecting to a USB media device and streaming stored music.

Continuing the Denon’s remarkable versatility, the PMA-900HNE also has inputs for three analogue sources and an analogue audio output for recording, too. Two sets of speaker outlets are ideal for running a second set of speakers in another room. If you prefer listening in private, a headphone socket is also standard.
