Compatible with Mac and Windows, this third generation room correction system uses bespoke DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and a dedicated microphone. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X use ceiling or up-firing speakers for three-dimensional and fully immersive sound. Whether it’s rain falling in a tropical jungle or the intense sound of overhead gunfire, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X put you in the centre of the action.

Be even more immersed – with 11.2 channel processing
With processing for 11.2 or 7.2.4 channels, you can add a 4-channel power amp (or two stereo power amps) and not only double the ceiling speaker count but also add additional effect speakers – giving total sound immersion.

Configure the speakers your way
Channel re-assignment lets you configure the speakers precisely the way you want them. With seven-channel, powered outputs, unused outputs can be used for bi-amping front speakers, adding a second zone or additional presence speakers in a 7.2 set-up. Thanks to ARC Genesis, the perfect presentation is guaranteed, whatever the format.

Zone 2 HDMI
For a fully independent AV output, the MRX 740 comes with a Zone 2 HDMI output. This lets you vary the audio and visual output to another display – such as a TV set in another room. In addition to this, there are twin HDMI outputs to the master source – ideal if you use a protector and a TV in the same room.

Premium digital processing
Featuring premium 32 bit/768kHz, differential-output DACs (Digital to Analogue Convertors), the MRX 740 decodes digital signals to the highest standards. These high resolution DACs don’t miss a breath of the action and make both movies and music sound scintillating.

Upgradable HDMI board - Supports Dolby Vision, HDR, HLG and eARC
Equipped with an upgradable, 7 in/3 out HDMI interface, the MRX 740 supports a wide range of High Dynamic Range video formats. These include Dolby Vision, HDR and HLG. It also supports eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel), the latest Audio Return Channel system that transmits uncompressed surround sound signals, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, from your compatible TV, back to the amp. The removable board allows for future HDMI upgrades (dealer return required).

AirPlay 2, Chromecast and Bluetooth – your choice of streaming
Connect to your network via wi-fi or Ethernet and stream from your music app of choice. Compatible with AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast, the player suits most music apps available on Apple and Android smartphone and tablet devices. Bluetooth provides a quick and easy wireless link to your smartphone, tablet or computer for simple music streaming. A free, future update will also include support for Spotify and Roon, making the MRX 740 even more versatile.
