With power now up from 45 watts per channel to 75 watts, the Stereo 230 doesn’t just go louder, it goes deeper, too. Even at lower volume levels, that extra power makes itself felt, as the sound is better balanced and richer. If you have inefficient speakers or a larger room the fill, the additional power makes all the difference in optimising the sound.

Hi-Res sound, enhanced
With an improved, ES9038Q2M DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor), the Leak Stereo 230 take Hi-Res sound to a new resolution. Now compatible, via USB, with DSD512 and PCM files up to 768kHz frequency, sound quality is more detailed and lifelike than ever. If you want your sound quality to be as close to the studio recording as possible, look no further.

Now with HDMI ARC, for TV connectivity
Adding to its already wide range of digital connections, the Stereo 230 now features an HDMI ARC interface. This lets you plug in your TV or other HDMI-equipped device and enjoy top quality, digital sound that’s further enhanced by the upgraded DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor).

Connect all your digital sources
As well as the HDMI, you can choose between USB, coaxial and optical for your inputs – ideal for your computer, Blu-ray/DVD/CD player, network streamer and many other devices with a digital output. There are also optical and coaxial digital outputs, making this amp perfect for digital recorders or multi-room feeds.

Wireless sound via Bluetooth aptX
For wireless streaming, the Stereo 230 comes with built-in Bluetooth. Compatible with aptX and AAC, this Leak amp offers the potential for high quality Bluetooth streaming. Simply pair with your smartphone, tablet or other device and stream your stored music and favourite music services, such as Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music.

Analogue still a key player
Just like previous Leak amps, the Stereo 230 is still a winner with analogue sources. Twin RCA inputs are perfect for plugging in sources such as a tuner, cassette player or any other source with an analogue output. With its pre-amp outputs, you can also connect a more powerful, larger power amp, should you choose.

Ready for your vinyl revival
The Stereo 230 comes fitted with a phono input; letting you connect Moving Magnet cartridge-equipped turntables. This isn’t just any old phono input, either. The low-noise, JFET-based circuit with precise RIAA equalisation gets the very best from your turntable’s sound. Low distortion and a wide frequency response means you get to hear the most subtle details with crystalline clarity.

Premium headphone output
The Stereo 230 features a dedicated headphone amp with current-feedback circuitry and wide bandwidth. This gives you a sound that’s much more powerful and three-dimensional than you’d usually get with most standard headphone outputs.
