Cyrus heritage
With a heritage in making compact, premium amplifiers that stretches back to the early 1980s, the Cyrus Classic AMP is a classic not just by name, but nature, too. Just as with previous classic Cyrus amps, this one packs a consider punch from its half-size casing. It might also surprise you with its input flexibility. Power to spare
With a 304VA toroidal transformer at its heart, the Classic AMP delivers surprising clout. The power rating of 70 watts per channel (or more with speakers of less than 8 ohms) is enough for room-filling sound, even in larger spaces and with less efficient speakers.
Built-in DAC with coaxial and optical inputs
Two optical and two coaxial digital inputs let you connect up to four digital sources and take advantage of the high quality DAC. The DAC chip is the same as that fitted to the award-winning QXR DAC, making this an ace with digital conversion. Plug in your TV, games console, CD player and more, with this flexible amp.
High quality turntable input
As well as four RCA line inputs, the Classic AMP also comes equipped with a MM (Moving Magnet) turntable input. This design features dual active gain stages and passive RIAA equalisation for high resolution, low distortion sound.
Wide range of other connectivity
For such a compact unit, the Classic AMP packs a lot in. As well as the raft of digital and analogue inputs, the amp also has a headphone output, pre-amp out, recording loop and linking ports for connecting other Cyrus units and upgrading the power supply.
