At the heart of this projector is a DLP laser light source, by Texas instruments. HDR10+ takes picture detail to the next level. With frame-by-frame image optimisation, you get to enjoy the perfect detail and brightness from every scene. Designed in collaboration with filmmakers and Hollywood studios, Filmmaker Mode lets you experience the cinematic vision, exactly as the director wished. Overriding the projector’s own motion and picture processing, Filmmaker Mode presents the correct aspect ratio, colour and frame rate – just as the filmmakers intended.

Factory calibrated for out-of-the box colour accuracy
Making sure you get the best from your projector, straight out of the box, the W5800 comes with a factory calibration set-up and report. Using specialist instruments and software, the projector is calibrated and adjusted to ensure 100% Rec.709 Delta E<1 and the entire greyscale tracking Delta E<2. This means a brilliant picture is guaranteed – straight out of the box.

ISF ccc calibration for fine-tuned perfection
Suitable for professional installation, the W5800 comes with ISF ccc calibration built-in. The ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) ccc facility lets you or your installer customise the image and colour performance for all room conditions. Preset light modes can also be set for night and daytime viewing.

All-glass lens for the sharpest picture
For the sharpest imaging, BenQ have fitted the W5800 with an all-glass, multi-element lens. The 14-element array is structured into seven groups and features all-glass lens with low dispersion coating. This makes the most of UHD 4K resolution in delivering sabre-sharp precision and detail, right across the screen.

Optimal installation with two-way lens shift
Featuring lens shift that’s adjustable in both vertical and horizontal planes, the W5800 is suitable for all spaces. This adjustment makes installation much easier as, once installed, you’re able to adjust the image to precisely fit your screen – without the need for any image-compromising digital adjustment.

Connect all your sources
Featuring twin HDMI sockets, the W5800 has connection versatility. Use the eARC enabled HDMI and you can connect to your AV receiver with a single lead, enjoying synchronised control. Alternatively, use the two HDMIs and USBs to directly connect a Blu-ray player, games console, USB reader device and more, with the sound being outputted via an optical digital connection to your AV receiver, digital amp or speaker system.
