The 9000Q is Audiolab’s flagship pre-amp, with sound and features honed to perfection. Ideally matched to the 9000P power amp, this pre-amp is also versatile enough to work well with a wide range of other pre-amps, or active speakers. Digital and analogue sections are both improved over the 9000A, giving you the most detailed and dynamic sound from any Audiolab amplifier. A wide range of connections make it easy to connect everything from your smartphone to turntable.
Ultimate sound quality
Building on the award-winning 9000A amplifier, this dedicated pre-amp features an improved DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) implementation. Together with proprietary circuitry to make the most of the HyperStream II and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator tech, this gives the 9000Q incredible musical scale and ultra-low distortion. The phonostage is also enhanced, with a new Class-A circuit for exceptionally smooth and lifelike sound. Finally, with its own power supply and casing, the 9000Q is free from the sonic compromises (such as electrical interference and vibration) that can afflict integrated amplifiers that share a casing with a power amp.
Digital connectivity
Fitted with an optimised version of ESS’s top 9038PRO 32-bit Sabre DAC, the 9000Q shines with all digital sources. For the ultimate sound quality, connect your computer via the USB-B and enjoy music file playback up to 32-bit/768kHz PCM and DSD512. There are also two optical and two coaxial connections that are ideal for a CD/DVD player, TV, games console and network streamer. These handle hi-res music files up to 24-bit/192kHz and benefit from selectable digital filters to optimise the sound quality.
Bluetooth aptX HD for high quality, wireless sound
For top quality, wireless sound, the 9000Q is equipped with Bluetooth aptX HD. Pair with your compatible smartphone, tablet or laptop and enjoy Hi-Res sound quality, wirelessly. Ideal for getting the best sound quality from your premium music services or stored music files, aptX HD gives a more detailed and dynamic sound that’s a huge improvement on regular Bluetooth.
Top quality turntable input
Designed to get the very best from your vinyl, the 9000Q’s dedicated turntable input is a match for many standalone phono pre-amps. Using a single stage, Class-A circuit, it delivers smooth and fluid sound that perfectly captures the full-bodied warmth that makes vinyl so popular. It also has low levels of background noise and distortion, meaning you get to hear every subtle detail from your favourite albums.
Balanced inputs for the ultimate connection
Alongside the digital and turntable connections, the 9000Q also features three AUX line-level and balanced XLR inputs. Matched to a compatible source, such as the Audiolab 9000N network music streamer, these give the ultimate connection with the highest level of resistance to electrical interference.
Interactive LCD display
As part of the 9000-series, this pre-amp features a premium, interactive LCD screen that displays a wide range of info. Choose between source display, music file quality, left/right VU metres or volume displays. Or, for the least distraction, simply turn the display off.
