The SolidSteel speakers are designed to partner monitor style speakers, such as the KEF R3 and LS50, Bowers & Wilkins 803 and the classic LS3 and LS5 BBC-type models. Handmade in Italy, these beautifully finished stands maximise the full potential of your speakers’ sound and style.
Three struts for dynamic support
With three support struts, the speaker is always dynamically balanced – no matter how uneven your floor is. The struts are braced at both the top and bottom of the stand, making for an extremely rigid construction – perfect for resisting resonance and distortion.
Isolated MDF top plate
With an MDF top plate, the SS-6 stands use a material that harmonises with most speakers. This again helps to reduce resonance and the ‘ringing’ that can affect metal top plates. The MDF top plate is isolated from the struts via three, high precision ball bearings. Different top plate sizes are available to suit different sized speakers.
Stainless steel spikes
Supplied with adjustable, stainless steel spikes, it’s easy to get the stand perfectly level and stable. The spikes are removable, letting you fill the struts with a suitable damping material, such as kiln-dried sand, should you wish to add additional damping.
