Every stylus has an optimised tracking weight. Set this right and you get optimal tracking, with the most balanced sound and less likelihood of skipping or excessive record wear and tear. The Essential TT Stylus Gauge uses a digital display, measuring stylus pressure to 1/100 gramme accuracy.
Easy to use
This electronic pressure gauge is much easier to use than many analogue alternatives. Use the autocalibration system, then simply rest the stylus on the scales and adjust the weight until you see the correct number on the digital display.
