With processing for 11.2 or 7.2.4 channels, you can add a 4-channel power amp (or two stereo power amps) and not only double the ceiling speaker count but also add additional effect speakers – giving total sound immersion.

Channel re-assignment lets you configure the speakers precisely the way you want them. With seven-channel, powered outputs, unused outputs can be used for bi-amping front speakers, adding a second zone or additional presence speakers in a 7.2 set-up. Thanks to ARC Genesis, the perfect presentation is guaranteed, whatever the format.

Zone 2 HDMI
For a fully independent AV output, the MRX 740 8K comes with a Zone 2 HDMI output. This lets you vary the audio and visual output to another display – such as a TV set in another room. In addition to this, there are twin HDMI outputs to the master source – ideal if you use a protector and a TV in the same room.

Equipped with an upgraded, 2.1 HDMI interface, the MRX 740 8K now supports 8K TV and 4K/120Hz gaming. It's also compatible with a wide range of High Dynamic Range video formats. These include Dolby Vision, HDR and HLG. It also supports eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel), the latest Audio Return Channel system that transmits uncompressed surround sound signals, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, from your compatible TV, back to the amp.

AirPlay 2, Chromecast and Bluetooth – your choice of streaming
Connect to your network via wi-fi or Ethernet and stream from your music app of choice. Compatible with AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast, the player suits most music apps available on Apple and Android smartphone and tablet devices. Bluetooth provides a quick and easy wireless link to your smartphone, tablet or computer for simple music streaming.
