Separate power supplies for analogue and digital sections deliver the purest signals to all parts of the player. The dual 60W power supplies ensure each section of the player receives a clean, consistent power supply, helping the components to operate at their optimum performance.
Cinematic picture quality
Featuring high quality copper-core wiring and upgraded JST and Amphenol components, the video processing is more stable than ever. This ensures optimal image quality. Compatible with Dolby Vision and HDR10+, it’s set to maximise the performance from your UHD Blu-ray discs recorded in these formats. Film fans will also appreciate True 24p Cinema, which delivers 24 frames per second, straight through to the screen, just as it would at the cinema.
Fully redesigned audio circuits
Equipped with dual ESS 9038 PRO DACs (Digital to Analogue Converters), the UDP900 MKII delivers a big step up in audio. The ESS DACs are renowned for their sonic precision, low noise and dynamic excellence, making them ideal for music and sound tracks alike. There’s now also TMDS retiming on the HDMI audio port, which helps to reduce jitter for lower distortion and cleaner, more detailed sound.

The UDP900 MKII decodes a wide variety of Hi-Res surround audio formats, including 192kHz/24 bit up to 7.1 channels and DSD64 at 5.1 channels. This gives you effortless compatibility with a wide range of audio and AV high resolution sound systems, including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Hi-Res Audio. Combined with the picture technology, it means that you get to experience the full thrill of the movie.

With universal disc playback, the UDP900 MKII is ideal for your treasured collection of music and movies. Playable discs include UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, DVD-Audio, DVD, SACD and CD. It’s also compatible with a wide range of recorded formats. These include MKV, AVI, MP4, M2TS, WAV, FLAC, APE, MP3, DSD and more. XMOS enhanced USB connectivity
As well as playing a vast range of disc formats, this flexible player also plays content via its enhanced USB interface. The USB3.0 HUB chip features an improved design and power supply, making it better able to adapt to USB and flash hard drives. Compatible with files up to PCM768 and DSD512, it’s capable of delivering studio-quality audio.
Stream and Roon Ready
The Ethernet connection lets you plug into your network and stream content from other devices, such as a NAS drive, via the DLNA system. The player is now also certified Roon Ready, making it easy to link with a multi-source system around your home. For ease of integration, it also supports both Control 4 and Creston home integration systems.

Weighing in at an impressive 15.4kg, this is no ordinary Blu-ray player. The all-aluminium alloy casing uses a reinforced, double layer chassis for effective vibration resistance. The internal components are independently shielded, reducing magnetic interference, helping to reduce distortion to a minimum.
Total connectivity to your AVR or amp
Whatever your system, the UDP900 MKII has you connected. Outputs to your AVR or amp include conventional RCA phono, digital coaxial and optical. For more advanced systems, there’s the option of XLR sockets for a pro-quality, balanced connection. This is especially beneficial for longer runs, where conventional, unbalanced, analogue cables quickly lose signal quality. Legacy systems are catered for, too, with the rare 7.1 RCA phono outputs.
Twin HDMI and USB sockets
Twin HDMI sockets give you flexible connectivity. The second HDMI lets you run an audio source to another room or use the player with older AV receivers that won't pass through 4K HDR signals. The front-mounted USB interface is ideal for plug-in media players. The improved USB3.0 connection is positioned next to the HDMI sockets at the rear, making it ideal for permanently connected devices.
