Discrete DAC for smooth and lifelike sound
The K13 R2R feature’s FIIO’s discrete, resistor based 24-bit DAC. Rather than using a single microchip, the DAC circuit is made up of four channel circuits, each with 48 precision, thin-film resistors, for a total of 192 resistors in total. This unique configuration gives the K13 R2R a more natural and organic sound that’s musical and engaging for long term listening.

Choose between Oversampled or Non-Oversampled sound
For the sound that best suits you and your music, you can switch between NOS (Non-Oversampled) and OS (Oversampled) sound. NOS maintains the music’s full originality, with an authenticity that’s true to the musician’s intentions. OS upsamples the signal to 384kHz, for an enhanced performance with improved refinement. Each setting suits different types of music and tastes.

Fully balanced circuits for the purest sound
From DAC decoding, low-pass filtering, gain control and onwards to the headphone amplification, the K13 R2R’s audio circuit benefits from being a fully differential (balanced) design. This reduces distortion and noise, maximising the dynamic range for the most expressive sound quality possible. There are also XLR balanced outputs, letting you extend the balanced signal to your compatible hi-fi system.

Tailor the sound to perfection, with PEQ
Supporting all the digital inputs, FiiO’s PEQ technology lets you fine-tune the sound to perfection. The 10-band PEQ modifies the headphone’s frequency response curve, letting you not only adjust the sound for personal preference but also overcome your headphone’s weak spots.

Equipped with high quality ELNA capacitors and specialised audio tantalum electrolytic capacitors, the K13 R2R delivers a warm and natural sound. There’s also plenty of grunt, with the amp producing up to 2400mW+2400mW power output, allowing the device to effortlessly drive inefficient headphones. Three gain levels let you adapt the output to best suit your specific headphones.

Balanced output for enhanced sound from compatible headphones
For the highest quality connection, there’s a choice of headphone outputs, including 4.4mm balanced as well as a regular 6.35mm output. When used with compatible headphones, the balanced 4.4mm output maximises the music’s detail by reducing the potential for distortion to the lowest levels possible.

The hub of your digital system
Much more than simply a headphone amp, you can use the K13 R2R as the hub of your desktop system. Digital inputs include USB-C, coaxial and optical, letting you connect up to a laptop or PC, CD player and network streamer. There’s also the option of going wireless and connecting via high quality Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC support. Balanced XLR and twin RCA phono outputs let you hook up to a power amp or integrated amp for easy system integration.

The K13 R2R’s sleek and compact design makes it desktop friendly. The high contrast display clearly shows handy information, such as sampling rate, volume, gain and output mode. RGB (Red, Green, Blue) lighting indicates current sampling rate. The brightness and colour are customisable, with static or pulsating options also available.
