”The CD 70 is undoubtedly the new go-to recommendation at this level.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ – 5 Star review.
Building on award-winning excellence
The Marantz CD70 follows on from a long line of Marantz CD players with decades of award-winning talent. Combining an upgraded DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter) with the company’s signature HDAM-SA2 circuitry, it delivers crisp, dynamic sound with a richly balanced soundstage.
Upgraded high performance DAC
New for the CD70 CD player is an upgraded DAC. The ESS ES9020Q DAC chip is designed to extract more detail, enhancing clarity and depth from every recording. Combined with Marantz’s own HDAM modules and a high-current power supply, the sound is tuned to provide the greatest musicality with the lowest distortion and background noise possible.
The perfect partner
Ideal for pairing with Marantz Model 70 amp or Stereo 70s network stereo receiver, the CD70 shares the same signature style and premium finish. With its pleasingly symmetrical design, rounded edges and distinctive crosshatch finish, it not only stands out from the crowd but is also easy to navigate. Available in black or silver, the CD70 also blends well with other makes and models.
Hi-res audio files via USB
As well as playing CDs to a class-leading standard, the CD70 also lets you playback your Hi-res music files, via USB. Connect your memory stick or other USB media player to the facia-mounted USB-A and enjoy MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV, FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF (up to 192-kHz/24bit), and DSD (up to 5.6- MHz) playback.
Built-in headphone amp
If you listen to headphones, you’ll be impressed by the CD70’s built-in headphone amp. The dedicated headphone amp features Marantz’s bespoke HDAM-SA2 circuitry, with three settings (Low/Mid/High) for the perfect match with almost any pair of headphones. Combined with the dedicated volume control, this gives you total control of your headphones, without the need for any additional amp.
Wide selection of connections
Gold-plated RCA outputs provide a high quality, low resistance connection to your amp. If you’re using an AVR or digital amp, you also have the option of optical and coaxial digital outputs. Supplied with a system remote control, just a single controller is required to operate a full Marantz system.
Maximise your CD listening enjoyment, with the musical Marantz CD70.
