Fitted with Paradigm’s high-excursion S-PAL woofer, the Defiance S10 delivers remarkably hard hitting bass for its size. For bass to have control as well as depth, a subwoofer needs a built-in amp that’s up to the task. With 500 watts (1000 watts peak), the Defiance S10’s is more than up to the job. The Class-D amp is ultra-efficient and has headroom to spare, ensuring that the S-PAL woofer is driven with absolute precision.

Built to resist vibrations
Constructed from 1” thick MDF, with reinforced bracing, the Defiance’s cabinet is ultra-rigid and resonance-free, further helping the tight, upbeat sound. At the base you’ll find integrated anti-vibration feet. These tighten the bass while minimising floor and wall resonance. Furthermore, spikes can be screwed in for additional stability on carpeted surfaces.

Go wireless
Featuring built-in wireless connectivity, the Defiance S10 offers uncluttered connectivity with your source component. Rarely available on a third party subwoofer, the built-in wireless connection, with wireless transmitter included, is another string to this subwoofer’s bow.

If you’re looking for the very best sound quality, then cabling up is still the best solution. The Defiance S10 offers a range of options, making it suitable for a vast range of system options. For a studio-grade connection, link via the balanced XLR input. Alternatively there are speaker level inputs or RCA phonos for connecting to a regular hi-fi system, plus an LFE RCA input for linking to an AV receiver or amp.

Developed in conjunction with home cinema experts, Anthem, the system compensates for sparsely or densely furnished rooms, meaning that the bass is perfectly balanced. Available for iOS and Android, the Paradigm Subwoofer Control app lets you take effortless control. Adjust the volume, fine-tune the DSP, tweak the phase settings and more, the app is a boon – especially when the sub is hidden out of sight.

By using a sealed, portless design, the Defiance S10 is easy to hide away. This lets you use it within a cabinet or wall unit, without compromising on sound performance.
