Combining the purity of open-back headphone design with advanced noise-cancelling and wireless connectivity, the Audio Technica ATH-AL5NC delivers a unique experience for top quality sound in busy environments.

Convenient headphones for the critical listener
Creating the perfect balance between premium sound quality and convenience, the Audio Technica ATH-AL5NC offer an innovative solution to top quality sound in noisy environments. Open-backed and over-ear for the best in immersive sound, the headphones are unusual in pairing this with noise-reduction tech and wireless connectivity. The result is that you get to experience sound that’s truly open, transparent and spacious, with as little distraction as possible.

Powerful, authentic sound
Featuring specially designed 53mm drivers, these Audio Technica headphones are powerful and responsive. True to the original signal, they deliver authentic sound, just as the musicians intended.

Immersive soundstaging
The open-back design means that the airflow from the drivers is unrestricted. This means that you get to enjoy a wider and more immersive soundstage than closed-back headphones deliver. If you want to feel fully enveloped by the sound, these make the ideal choice.

Ideal for Hi-Res Audio
Featuring the Hi-Res Audio codec, LDAC, you get to experience high-resolution audio quality from compatible files, up to 24-bit/96kHz. With two or three times more detail than ordinary Bluetooth headphones, your High-Resolution music files are played to perfection, without the need for a connecting cable.

Innovative noise-reduction
Highly unusual for open-back headphones, the ATH-AL5NC feature noise-reduction for more focused sound. Although not as effective as conventional, closed-back, noise-cancelling headphones*, Audio Technica’s noise reduction system helps reduce background noise to a minimum. Ideal for using in busy transport terminals, at home or work, the system takes the edge off background noise. It works in both wired and wireless formats and is conveniently accessed via a button on the right earcup.

*As open-back headphones, some sound leakage is audible at higher volumes.

Excellent battery life
Fully charged, the ATH-AL5NC headphones are good for up to 75 hours playtime. Switch on the noise reduction system and the battery life remains an impressive 50 hours. If you’re running late, a quick 15-minute charge is all that’s needed for an additional eight hours listening time (five hours with noise-reduction).

Lightweight and comfortable
By over-ear wireless headphones standards, the ATH-AL5NC weigh in at a lightweight 240 grammes, making them amongst the lightest in their class. Combined with the padded headband and breathable earpads, the over-ear design ensures fatigue-free listening for hour after hour.

A-T Connect – convenient app control
For a more tailored listening experience, simply download the A-T Connect app. This lets you fine-tune the EQ, select an EQ preset or flat setting, locate misplaced headphones, change codecs, and more, all via the convenience of your smartphone.

Supplied with cable and case
If you prefer to plug in rather than go wireless, the ATH-AL5NC is supplied with a 1.2 metre cable with 3.5mm plug and inline microphone. Alongside the built-in mic and noise-reduction system, this makes the headphones ideal for keeping in touch with friends, family and colleagues. The supplied carrying pouch ensures that they’re well protected when not in use.
