Compact, Scandinavian design meets the best in CD tech to make the Argon Audio CD1 a stylish way to optimise your CD collection’s sound.

Fully featured CD player that’s elegant by design
Pairing a dedicated CD drive with premium ESS Sabre DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter), the Argon Audio CD1 makes the ideal player to hear your CD collection at its best. Equipped with all the connections you’re likely to need, it links with a wide range of different amps, AVRs and active speakers. The perfect match for an Argon Audio SA amplifier, its compact dimensions also suit desktop or bookshelf systems where space is tight.

Dedicated CD drive
Featuring a dedicated CD drive that’s made for CD playback, rather than a CD ROM, this compact CD player delivers optimal disc reading. The robust slot-load mechanism uses fewer moving parts than a draw system, giving improved reliability.

Premium DAC
Fitted with a premium ESS brand ES9023 DAC, the CD1 processes digital signals with precision. The converter is renowned for its clean and detailed sound, letting you hear every element of audio in crystal-clear clarity.

Compact CD player
Compact and elegant, the Argon Audio CD1 is a discreet CD player that doesn’t take up too much space. With its rounded edges and choice of black or white finishes, it makes the perfect partner for Argon Audio’s SA1 MK2 and SA2 amplifiers.

Excellent connectivity
For versatile connectivity, the CD1 is fitted with a range of outputs. These include both optical and coaxial, making it possible to connect to a wide range of digital amps, AV receivers and digital active speakers. There are also conventional stereo analogue RCA outputs.

Fully featured
Desirable features include a USB-A socket for charging your portable device, a dimmable display and a comprehensive remote control that comes finished in the same colour as the main unit.

Maximise your CD collection’s sound, in style, with the Argon Audio CD1.
