With twin, dual-core SHARC DSP Griffin Lites at its heart, the AVC-X8500H has huge reserves of processing power. Denon's AL32 Processing provides ultra-high resolution digital audio filtering and precision tailoring of the main channels to give pinpoint precision and the most natural sound possible. Finally, eight AKM 32-bit DACs give this AV amp reference levels of detail.

Mono-block amp design
The finest surround processing deserves the finest amplification and that’s exactly what this Denon has. A high current, premium transformer delivers effortless power to mono block amplifiers. Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and DTS Virtual:X for immersive sound
Dolby Atmos uses ceiling or upwards firing speakers to produce a multi-dimensional, immersive sound that's a match for the finest cinemas. DTS:X literally pushes the boundaries of what you can expect from home cinema. This highly sophisticated processor renders images in three dimensions that conventional processing can't match. If extra ceiling or upwards firing speakers are impractical then try DTS Virtual:X. This gives a good impression of extra height without the extra speakers.

Advanced multi-room functionality including two-zone HDMI and three-zone sound
The AVC-X8500H has no fewer than three HDMI outputs with an independent zone 2. This means you can run audio and video to another screen, in another room independently from the twin, main outputs. An RS232 socket and twin DC triggers make this receiver ideal for more complex home installation systems.

Amazon Alexa voice control
Controlling a sophisticated AV receiver like this can be baffling for some members of the family, which is why Denon have made it compatible with Amazon Alexa. Simply download the HEOS Home Entertainment Skill app and then just ask Alexa. Adjust the volume, switch inputs and with other components attached, change the track – all by just asking Alexa.

HEOS built-in - for the finest multi-room audio
HEOS multi-room music systems connect together by dual-band Wi-Fi, making them easy to set up with your existing home network. Up to 32 HEOS units can be set up at one time, ensuring even the largest of homes are covered for multi-room music. With HEOS already built-in, the AVC-X8500H is ready to go as a single 'zone' without any further adaptors!

Control it all with the HEOS app
Once you've set up your HEOS speaker system, you can stream music effortlessly via the dedicated HEOS app. Available for Apple iOS and Android, the app not only lets you stream your stored music but also Internet radio services and popular streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal, Napster and Deezer.

Support for 4K UHD, HDR10 and HLG
The AVC-X8500H supports a wide range of formats via HDMI, which means you can play UHD Blu-ray discs and stream UltraHD video through the receiver. All of the eight HDMI inputs and two outputs support HDR10, HLG and BT.2020 pass-through. The HDMI sockets allow 4K pass-through, for hassle-free switching and viewing without the receiver needing to be turned on.

High-Resolution audio compatible
As well as offering an intense movie experience, the Denon AVC-X8500H is also compatible with High-Resolution Audio. This offers a sound that's far more natural sounding than standard audio. The Denon AVCX8500H supports a wide range of Hi-Res format files including DSD (2.8/5.6MHz), FLAC, ALAC and WAV. It even supports gapless playback for music free from glitches.

Bluetooth, AirPlay 2 and built-in wi-fi for the complete networking experience
With both Bluetooth and AirPlay 2 connectivity it's easy to connect all your smartphones, tablets and compatible lap/desktops and stream music wirelessly. The AVC-X8500H also comes with wi-fi and Internet radio. Simply connect to your home network via Ethernet or wi-fi and access thousands of Internet radio sites via vTuner as well as subscription services such as Spotify Connect (requires Spotify Premium account).

Audyssey MultEQ XT32 for simple room set-up
Featuring Audyssey's high-end MultEQ XT32 technology, the AVC-X8500H adapts itself to your room's acoustics. The XT32 version of this automatic measuring and set-up device features include Audyssey Dynamic Volume, Dynamic EQ, LFC and SubEQ HT for total control. If you want to take this even further, purchase the MultEQ Editor App (at additional cost) and you've access to advanced user settings.
