A sound reference
Standing at the top of the impressive Anthem MRX range, the MRX 1140 features high-end electronic components for reference-grade sound. Using a high quality, Class AB amplifier with toroidal power supply and discrete components (Class D for Atmos channels), the MRX 1140 delivers an effortlessly powerful and dynamic sound. Configurable, 11.2-channel sound for full immersion
Giving you a new dimension in sound, the MRX 1140 lets you configure four ceiling or Atmos-enabled speakers as well as full 7-channel surround sound. Alternatively, use two Atmos speakers and enjoy a broad soundstage with 'front wide speakers' forming a 9.2.2 system. If you don't fancy a Dolby Atmos specific system but want the most immersive sound possible, go for an 11.2 configuration. This offers 7.2 sound with the addition of front width and front height speakers.

Be even more immersed – with 15.2 channel processing
With processing for 15.2 or 9.2.6 channels, you can add a 4-channel power amp (or two stereo power amps) for the most enveloping sound. This gives sound to rival smaller professional studio cinemas and is ideal for the largest rooms.

ARC Genesis – the Anthem difference
As well as premium quality electronics, the feature that sets Anthem apart is ARC (Anthem Room Correction). The latest ARC Genesis software marks a big step forward, giving you perfect room integration, ensuring you make the most of the MRX 1140’s potential. Compatible with Mac and Windows, this third generation room correction system uses bespoke DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and a dedicated microphone. Once set-up, you’ll hear an astonishing improvement in how much more integrated and ‘together’ the sound is. (Professional set-up recommended).

DTS:X Pro
Making the most of the MRX 1140’s awesome multi-channel ability, DTS:X Pro takes DTS:X to the next level. Giving even greater spatial resolution, effect speakers steer the sound with greater accuracy for stunning realism.

Configure the speakers your way
Channel re-assignment lets you configure the speakers precisely the way you want them. With an 11-channel, powered output, unused outputs can be used for bi-amping front speakers, adding a second zone or additional presence speakers in an 11.2 set-up. Thanks to ARC Genesis, the perfect presentation is guaranteed, whatever the format.

Independent sub outputs
Taking the flexible speaker configuration further, the MRX 1140 features twin, independently adjustable subwoofer outputs. This means that if you have, for example, a sub at the front and rear of your room, you can control them independently and get a seamless sound via ARC Genesis.

Zone 2 HDMI
For a fully independent AV output, the MRX 1140 comes with a Zone 2 HDMI output. This lets you vary the audio and visual output to another display – such as a TV set in another room. In addition to this, there are twin HDMI outputs to the master source – ideal if you use a protector and a TV in the same room.

Premium digital processing
Featuring premium 32 bit/768kHz, differential-output DACs (Digital to Analogue Convertors), the MRX 1140 decodes digital signals to the highest standards. These high resolution DACs don’t miss a breath of the action and make both movies and music sound scintillating.

Upgradable HDMI board - Supports Dolby Vision, HDR, HLG and eARC
Equipped with an upgradable, 7 in/3 out HDMI interface, the MRX 1140 supports a wide range of High Dynamic Range video formats. These include Dolby Vision, HDR and HLG. It also supports eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel), the latest Audio Return Channel system that transmits uncompressed surround sound signals, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, from your compatible TV, back to the amp. The removable board allows for future HDMI upgrades (dealer return required).

AirPlay 2, Chromecast and Bluetooth – your choice of streaming
Connect to your network via wi-fi or Ethernet and stream from your music app of choice. Compatible with AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast, the player suits most music apps available on Apple and Android smartphone and tablet devices. Bluetooth provides a quick and easy wireless link to your smartphone, tablet or computer for simple music streaming. A free, future update will also include support for Spotify and Roon, making the MRX 1140 even more versatile.
