High torque design for professional use
Key to a DJ turntable is fast start/stop and a solid platter, so the PLX1000 uses a high torque, direct-drive motor with an electronic brake, ensuring absolute precision for mixing. A start time of just 0.3 seconds to 33rpm means the PLX1000 is as quick as they come, while quartz lock control ensures stable speed and pitch. The aluminium, die-cast platter is extremely solid and reassuringly wobble-free, improving sound quality via mass damping.

Multi-pitch tempo control
Like any classic DJ turntable, the PLX1000 features a sliding pitch control. Where the PLX1000 goes further is in offering multi-pitch tempo. In addition to the standard tempo adjustment of +/- 8% you can select +/-16% or even +/-50%. A simple reset button instantly reverts the setting to zero, while a strobe light and markers provide quick visual recognition of speed.

S-shaped tone-arm with full adjustment
Robust and practical, the PLX1000's tone-arm is the ideal match for the deck. The classic S-shape is tried and tested, while to keep vibrations to a minimum, it's is also rubber-lined. Just like you'd hope for from a professional deck, the tone-arm features a detachable headshell for swift cartridge replacement, accurate weight adjustment, plus VTA height adjustment - letting you use thicker slipmats and deeper cartridges without upsetting the balance.

Built to last
Weighing in at a solid 13.1kg, the PLX1000 is tough enough for regular transportation and is full of small details that make this a DJ's delight. The detachable phono leads mean that damaged leads can be swiftly changed, while the power lead is also detachable, making it easy for rapid and damage-free packing. Finally, over-sized, anti-vibration feet absorb vibrations, to keep you on track.
